Raku is an ancient Japanese firing technique used for items pertaining to the tea ceremony. Things have changed in it's trans pacific travels but the essence remains the same. Until now you had to leave the city to participate in this exciting venture. One would have to sign up for an expensive one - day workshop go to some out of the way location and get in line. Well no more! We are the only NYC ceramic studio that has a Raku kiln on the premises.

Dimensions

Our kiln dimensions are 24" x 24" x 24" square. The workshop price is per kiln load. We supply glazes and reduction materials.You just sign up in advance, Then show up with bisqued pots on your particular date ready to have the Raku time of your life ! Groups of 4 to 6 people can book other workshop dates in advance. Call for more details.
